Our Drawing Module team has continued to focus on how to make the process of creating Shop Drawings easier, while getting the information and detail into a format which best suits the end consumer.
To date the functionality of the Drawing Module has been largely focused in providing an offering that meets the needs of all product types in a consistent way. We understand this doesn’t meet everyone’s needs as it doesn’t provide the customization certain users require. So, with the recent release of the Drawing Module, a key focus has been on providing the functionality to support the development of Custom Layouts.
Custom Layouts allow for the development of unique layouts, to ensure the information you want and need is in the right place on your Shop Drawings.
The Layouts can now be selected based on V6 formulas to produce the right layout for a specific product configuration. This allows for customized layouts with the information and details specific and relevant to the product.
In order to support custom layouts, we have made improvements in a range of other areas too, improving the functionality required to lift the overall user experience. Areas like CAD Details and Annotations have been notably overhauled. Additionally, we have made significant performance improvements in the drawing generation process.
